D. Rose just got Skittles Overload

Yes. That's a real Skittles vending machine with all of its variant in it. Oh, it's custom made by the way, with D. ROSE written on the lower right corner.

When you are an All-star, this is just one of those perks you normally get. Rose usually include Skittles on his his diet and when Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company learned about it, they sent him this customized vending machine.

One more thing, this machine allows Rose to record a message to remind him to eat more Skittles every time he passes by it. The company promises to fill it for three years all for free with no catch. Wow! Now, tell me you didn't wish you had one!

2010-2011 Bulls Schedule

The 2010-2011 Bulls season schedule was released on Tuesday and so with the rest of the NBA. This post is a little bit late but I'm posting it anyways. Key dates to look forward to are the following:
Nov. 13 - this marks Hinrich's first visit to the United Center after 7 seasons with the Bulls. John Wall will also showcase his skills that made him the first overall pick last June.
  • Nov. 16-27 - The famous annual "circus trip" wherein they will kick it off against the Texas triangle followed by games against the LAL, PHO, DEN, and SAC.
  • Dec. 10 - The defending Champs visit town. It should be a great match up
  • Dec. 25 - A Christmas Day date with the New York Knicks at MSG. It has been a long while since the Bulls played on Christmas Day but with improved play they might be a regular in the future.
  • Jan. 15 - The infamous Miami Trio comes to town. Bulls will have their first chance against the super team. For Bulls fan, it's now their turn to "booo" the most hated team in the league
Here is the full Bulls schedule.

Bulls Sign Keith Bogans; Fernandez still possible

Bulls added depth to their already deep bench in Keith Bogans, signing him to a two-year deal worth approximately 2.5 million. Bogans provides another defensive presence and 3-point shooting to this Bulls team. He will back-up Brewer for the SG spot once the season starts. Bogans averaged 7.1 points over his career and is a 35% career 3-point shooter.

Talks regarding Rudy Fernandez have cooled off since due to Portland's desire for more in return from the Bulls. It is believed that they want Taj Gibson but the Bulls are not willing to part with him. The only young player the Bulls will give up in a trade is James Johnson together with their future 1st round pick.

The signing of Bogans does not preclude the possibility acquiring Fernandez. Currently, the team has 12 players on its roster, leaving 3 more spots open. If the Bulls do acquire Fernandez, he will likely battle with Brewer for the starting SG spot with Bogans backing them. Right now, it's all in Portland's hand to find a better deal. Although by signing Bogans, the Bulls are sending message to Portland that they are not waiting for them for too long.

Around the Bulls and NBA

There is nothing much going on around the Bulls these days and the entire NBA in general in terms of FA signings and/or Trade Rumors. Rudy Fernandez to Bulls trade talks have cooled down. The only buzz lately is regarding the marquee schedules being released tomorrow in an NBA TV special ala "The Decision". Word around the league says that the Heat will open their season at Cleveland. Now, that would be something, wouldn't it?

As for the Bulls, KC Johnson, of Chicago Tribune, tweeted that they will open their season at Oklahoma City on Oct. 27. That game will feature two of the future faces of the NBA in Kevin Durant and Derrick Rose. Also, the Bulls will have a Christmas Day match-up against the New York Knicks at MSG. It will certainly serve as one of the undercards for the main event which we all expect to be HEAT-LAKERS game. Other opening week games and Martin Luther Day games will be announced 7pm ET tomorrow so just stay tuned for more updates.

Webber Victorious in Hungary; Dismal Weekend for McLaren

In an unexpected turn of events, Webber finished on top ahead of Fernando Alonso and his teammate Sebastian Vettel in Sunday's Hungarian Gran Prix. A drive-through penalty to Vettel, due to safety-car infrigement, helped clinched Mark's victory. Vettel was pretty much set for victory as his car was faster than everyone else before the safety-car was deployed, to clear some debris off the track, although he was still on pace for a victory because Webber still had to make a pit stop. Unfortunately, Vettel lost his track position to Alonso due to the penalty. That event then allowed Webber to create enough gap to still come out on first position after his mandatory pit stop. Vettel fought Alonso through of the end race but was not able to come close enough.

On a sadder news, McLaren's Lewis Hamilton was unable to finish the race due to transmission problem and Jenson only managing to finish in 8th place. Lewis surrendered the Driver's lead to Webber as well as the Constructor's lead. It was an unfortunate weekend for McLaren heading into the break. They seemed to have fallen behind the Red Bull and Ferrari in terms of car development. For McLaren to be able to fight back in the both championships, they must be able to come up with better developments. Their blown diffusers clearly has not been working well as they have hoped for. Heading into the British Grand Prix , the team have been very optimistic regarding their development and that it could bring them closer to the Red Bulls but it has been the other way around since then. They abandoned it during the British Grand Prix. Three races have passed yet there is no significant improvement at all. In a more surprising turn of events, Ferrari has overtaken them and is now poised to challenge the Red Bulls and are clearly the 2nd fastest team out there.

This three-week break should allow them to come up with better package for the upcoming races. There are only 7 more races to go and every point is crucial right now. It is a big challenge for them to fight back in the championships. They have the drivers that can deliver but can the team deliver them the car to win both championships? That hasn't been the case for the past 4 races.

Bad Idea Dude!

With Lebron's departure from Cleveland still gives ire from Cleveland fans, the last thing you would want to do is go to Cleveland donned in a Lebron Miami Heat jersey. This dude took the chance and went to a Cleveland Indians game and was ejected and escorted out of the stadium while fans were chanting F**K YOU! F**K YOU! Bad idea huh? But hey!, you can't blame the dude. We all know that America is a free country, right? Not!!!!!
